YAKISUGI WOODEN SIDE TABLE / STOOL

Rustic-effect heavy wooden side table / stool. Its semi-spherical forms balance its polished finish and lightly textured surface of the intentionally-designed cracks and ring patterns that are emphasised as a result of applying a method of the traditional Japanese wood preservation technique Yakisugi (otherwise referred to as Shou Sugi Ban); the charring of wood which highlights the natural grain and textured surface of the wood to make it more durable.
